our PURPOSE
Creating safer places, improving fire safety and efficiency in buildings

Pulse analyses fire systems data to provide a single simplified platform for real-time monitoring, insights and AI-powered automation for businesses and property managers.
OUR VISION
To be the essential technology platform for fire safety and operations in buildings.
THE PROBLEM
Lack of visibility and clarity across fragmented fire safety systems increases risk, cost and administration.
Fire safety is critical in large complex environments such as shopping centres, hospitals, universities, commercial offices, industrial, public and mixed-use buildings. Manual processes, outdated systems and infrastructure lead to significant inefficiencies and gaps.
-
95%+ of Operational teams use manual processes, logbooks and inspections
-
4+ disparate systems typically used to manage site Fire safety
-
100k+ Automatic Fire alarms per year where 97% are false alarms causing significant disruption
-
Increased regulations and risk as a result from poorly managed Fire safety systems
FEATURES
Complete fire systems data visibility
Pulse gives you holistic real-time, end-to-end view of all your key fire safety systems, enabling better decisions, accelerated workflows, cost savings and safer assets that run more efficiently.
Streamline legacy process
Automation
Helping users save hundreds of hours of admin, duplication, errors or missed actions due to manual work and tracking.
Real-time incidents are automatically captured upon fire alarm activation, ensuring tracking and analysis of every event.
Auto-generated notification letters, capturing key Fire alarm and incident details, facilitating timely responses and recovery.
Digital Inspections and Logbooks
Complement your existing processes by capturing key daily Fire inspection data via our Pulse Fire App, enabling auditability and trending.
Digitise traditional logbooks by capturing key isolation data (for both wet & dry fire systems) in a more streamlined way via our Pulse Fire App.
Drilldown for portfolio location insights
Data and metrics
Analyse fire safety and alarm data at every level – portfolio, region, and centre – with interactive drill-down functionality for enhanced decision-making and reporting.
Flexible historical and date-range selectable to narrow down and find specific insights across all levels.
Capture key fire safety, workflow and alarm KPI’s across the portfolio.
Workflow visibility
Activation details
Each Fire alarm activation will be tracked and auditable in a simple timeline view showing when and who completed the preceding actions.
Reminders are sent out to each member in the workflow to help prompt them throughout the workflows.
Visibility
Improve contractor coordination and workflow efficiency, ensuring timely actions that reduce future alarms and mitigate risk.
Analytics & Insights
AI-powered workflows and analytics
Pulse gives you complete fire data visibility, allowing quicker decisions, accelerated workflow, cost savings and safer asset management.
Comprehensive Portfolio Reporting Data
Real-time alerts
Customisable alerts e.g. Critical Pumps 1 and 2 have been isolated.
Isolations > 8 hours, number of isolations, faults > 30 days.
Trending
Know which devices are associated with false fire alarms to understand the root causes and recurring events.
Know which tenants or contractors are constantly activating false fire alarms and isolations.
Key Metrics
Fire brigade callouts and cost
Impairments & isolations
Workflows outstanding
Critical equipment
Monitoring & Prevention
Prevent future alarms by addressing early indicators such as dirty detectors and faults.
Understand trends to implement preventative measures and training to educate, learn and act.

CASE STUDY
Retail and Commercial Property Portfolio
Westfield Bondi Junction - Sydney
Westfield is a leading property owner and operator of large format retail centres and commercial properties. Their assets range in scale, age, and complexity, with numerous stages of expansions, redevelopments, and upgrades. This dynamic environment makes it significantly difficult to consolidate and manage critical risk systems, processes, and data.
The Problem: Westfield's processes and systems for managing fire safety and fire alarms were disparate and inconsistent, meaning some sites used paper-based systems, while others used outdated digital systems. This resulted in incomplete risk reporting, manual administration from various operational teams, risk exposures from tenant and maintenance works, leading to an overall lack of fire systems assurance and significant costs in false alarms and disruptions.
The Solution: Pulse, a cloud-based Fire Safety platform, integrated with all fire panels across the Westfield portfolio to consolidate and structure data from multiple legacy systems and processes, enabling a simplified view and re-engineered processes to automate fire safety risk management. The technology solution deployed within 6 months resulted in:
Streamlined risk reporting on demand with real-time alerting for critical risks and faults (using fire panel data, alarm signalling equipment and existing inspection/risk management processes)
Enhanced fire safety risk confidence, enabling regulatory and compliance requirements from authorities and insurers to be satisfactorily met with minimal administration from operational teams
Recovery of costs and reimbursement of waivers from fire authorities with clear demonstration of fire safety improvements following false alarms
Long term data analysis, trending and insights based on industry best practice, leading to proactive maintenance and confidence in fire systems management at a site and portfolio level.
Covering over 2 million square metres of gross lettable area (GLA) across all sites in Australia:
38 sites
Improved Fire alarm administration response time:
30 days to 3 days
